Well my grandfather, John A. Ritchie Sr., passed away Wednesday September 17 while resting peacefully in the hospital. He was a big bluegrass and old country music fan. Always liked to hear me and my Dad pick bluegrass. Everytime we'd go visit him, he'd always asked if we brought our instruments. He grew up and lived in rural North Carolina where bluegrass and country were popular. I'll miss him for sure, but I know that one day I will see him again in Heaven with the Lord.
RIP "Paw Paw" John A. Ritchie Sr., 1933-2008.

Sorry to hear about your granddad. As I've gotten older I've wished I could have spent more time around both of mine. I know I'd have been a better man for it. I too look forward to seeing them again. Take care.

It's been 20 years and I still miss my Grandpa. Doesn't seem right he's not propped up in that old recliner with his harmonica...

Sorry to hear that, but glad he went peacefully. Sounds like he was a good Paw Paw. I don't think we always realize how much influence we have on other's lives.
