Now what's he gonna do?
You know that dog that always chases you when you drive by his home. I've always thought..."Dog, just what would you do with this thing if you caught it".... well, I'm that dog and the banjo is my truck ;-)
I finally recieved my new to me banjo and..... I want to pick her up, but, know nothing at all what to do with her. I've purchased a DVD, Dwight Diller's "Just Rhythm". I now am strictly working on that ryhthm. Hoping I don't get bored too quickly. I'd love to go to his camp, it's just not in the cards at this time.
The OT crowd is pretty limited in my area, I think. So if anybody knows of a GOOD camp, near Wichita, KS, shoot me line....till then, I continue to work the rhythm.

I know how you feel. I am a newbie myself. I will tell you this, I have been working with my banjo off and on for 2 or 3 years now. Unfortunately I never really made any progress. I started working on it again about 2 or 3 months ago now and have spent a lot of time on BHO reading forums, contacting members and working on the tabs. I tell you what I have made more progress in this little bit of time than I did all the rest. The people here on BHO are really helpful and more than willing to lend a hand. What ever you do don't give up, just keep picking. I don't know what style you want to learn but you can definitely find some help here.
Keep me informed how it's going

Just keep up the monthly visits to "Bluegrass John's" jamming camp :)
And Congrats on the band with Brad! That's awesome. Let us know where and when and, we'll have to catch a show!
