Morning :
-sleep in, then coffee. 2 cups to be exact.....can't walk on one leg.
-confirm that my school bus driving job in the fall is afternoons only !..sleep in all winter long :-)
- nice lunch with the wife watching the Olympics. Classy handshake by the American swimmer (name ?) even though he failed to place.
Afternoon :
- go sailing in the little skiff I built a few years ago. http://www.woodenboatclub.ca/members'_boats.htm High tide at just the right time, lovely steady breeze, warm, but not too hot. Perigrin Falcon hunting along the shore as I skim past. Railway draw bridge stays open that extra minute just for little 'ol me. 6 hours of heaven. Left at 3, pulled the boat onto the beach at 9 with the very last of the evening breeze, and just as the sun touched the mountains on Vancouver Island. Drove home under a clear gibbous moon.
- now for a few notes of pickin before I hit the sack, still rocking in my head.
Sweet Dreams .

wow. thanks for sharing that. I had one the other day, not a whole day, but a nice little moment. One of the tunnels coming out of Oslo was closed, and I didn't see the sign in enough time to do anything about it. The other option was a detour of about 40 kilometers with the wife and kids waiting for me at home for me to get dinner ready. Just as I got up to the turn off, the boom came up and they opened the tunnel. Not only was the detour unnecessary, but the tunnel was empty and I was at the front of the line. I was home 15 minutes later, instead of the 90 minutes that I had planned on for the detour. Good to make note that sometimes shit doesn't happen.

My kind of day. I restored an old Hobie cat and get it out on Lake Palestine when I can.
I love coasting in on that last puff of wind before evening sets in!
