Hello all and thanks for dropping in!
Well it has been a while since I last wrote so I will try to keep it short and fill you in.
My banjo and I are doing better, Fritz is a HUGE help to this, what would I do without his help?. We are still having a lot of issues but I think we are working them out, sometimes she wants to play something that is in no way of what it should be but somehow we seem to bring it together again, I don't call it pickin' yet, still sounds like bangin' to me but my neighbors seem to tolerate it better these days. One day it will come together and sound like it is suppose to, I sure hope it is SOON! In the mean time I will continue to annoy a few neighbors and drive Fritz crazy. (sorry Fritz) and hope for the best in the near future,
Thanks for dropping by

Yeah Angela - annoy the neighbours - LOL - I'm a raw beginner, and although my wife pays me compliments sometimes, I think I must sound terrible. I bet you sound better than I do. hehehe. Loads of best wishes. Bryan.

In one devastating blow, smashing all the self-confidence I had built up, my youngest daughter referred to my banjo playing as "playing the same annoying song over and over". I chose not to explain that I am currently working on 6 songs. 8-> The neighbors tolerate it better? I had to try speaking very quietly to my wife the other day since she no longer avoids the banjo practice sessions as much. Just making sure she wasn't going deaf.

I am still in the same boat with you. I just don't think that I will ever be able to play this thing. But I will never give up and just keep going. I know that I am driving John B crazy too but he has the patience of Job. :) Take care girl and don't be a stranger.

I play fairly well now but it takes time, eventually I decided to do it my way by using some printed material, and adlib a lot, then one day it just seemed to come together to suit me, at least, so just stick with it Angela, or by now you may have got there, as it's been awhile since I was on here, How's the neighbour's, swinging maybe.
