Sort of strange, having a Mothers' Day with no mother.
But, since she was very eager to "wake up dead" in 2007 AND 2006, I'm not all weepy about her going.
Leastaways she got what she asked for, eventually.
I posted a thread on her passing, back in September 2007. If I find it, I'll post a link.
In one of her books or essays, she said she was looking forward to meeting her own mother, up where nobody lies, and asking her a few questions about stuff from their shared lives.
And if, by definition, everybody in Heaven is perfectly happy, Mom would either be too happy to care about asking for the answers, or happy to finally have the answers.
Which sort of inspires this thought:
If you could ask your Mom a question that's been unanswered for quite some time, what would the question be?
(Now, if your Mom is still alive, you can ask her, or you can post your question HERE, and maybe somebody with a lot of free time will track down her address and mail it to her.)

I'd want to know what I could do to pay her back for her patience. I musta been a handful to raise!

I'm pretty content with what knowledge my mother could have imparted to me.The worst part about my mother being gone, are the times I catch myself thinking I should call and share some moment with her.Only to come to the realization that I can't.

Kinda hard to say what i would do or say ..My Mother died young ,at least it was young to me .Lot of things i would love to change ,but all of those things are within me ..She did a good job ,better than she ever expected ,she just didnt live to see the changes that the LORD made in my life .And those things were due to her teaching a fairly rough child ,by todays standards i was ok ,i guess

I know you.. you'd do it too!
I think I'd not have a question at all.. sometimes we find the real answers in just examining the possibilities. Thanks for inspiring though Mike.

Yeah, you know me, and youi know I have a lot of free time. AND--- I already know your Mum's address. SO, what's the question you want me to ask her for you?
How about:
"Mom, WHY am I good-looking, instead of RICH???"

Well my Mom passed 47 years ago now and there are time's I miss her like it was yesterday. Guess I might ask her what life looks like looking down from up there. Changes must be annoying even up there. I would also her to try to understand the changes in my life since she's been gone and to keep loving me anyway cause He who made me has seen everything I am and do and He still loves me somehow.

Always wanted to ask her but never did - how come I don't look at all like dad?

I would like for someone to explain why there is fifteen years difference in age between me and my closest sibling. I always say there are no accidents but I'm afraid I am one.

Mom was my best friend, not to many questions that I didn’t ask her. We did so many things together, some of them really dumb, but we always had fun. I remember one time I had just bought a new 4X4 we decided to go for a drive off road. We went out on the high desert above Twenty Nine Palms, CA. We had been driving around in the desert for an hour or so when I saw what looked like the back side of a big bill board, so off we went to see what it said. As I pulled around to read it. DANGER US MILATERY BOMBING RANGE DO NOT ENTER. We had been running around on the bombing range of the big Marine base up there. Sure glad it was Sunday, and the Marines had a day off.
