Last night I got to play clawhammer and three finger style on stage here in Athens, Georgia at the Melting Point. The bluegrass band, Waitin' On Parts, has let me practice with them recently because their banjo player is becoming more on the road and not always able to make engagements. They were the band of the week at the Melting Point, a music venue that has a bluegrass act every Tuesday night. I did a clawhammer and Scruggs-style duet with banjoist Al McCall. He is very talented and can be seen playing with Little Roy Lewis and Lizzy Long when not with Waitin' On Parts. We played Sally Ann and Old Joe Clark. After that, I put on my fingerpicks and played some three finger style. It was great getting to play on stage and infront of a good audience. There were a good number of college students, professors/university teachers, and locals of all ages. Thanks to the band for mentioning my radio show, Bluegrass Junction, because now there's possibly going to be more listeners and that means more promotion of bluegrass music. I hope to have opportunites like this in the future someday.
Here's two links to 2 videos from my act on stage last night:

Once again, my radio show will air 3 more Sundays until I'm out for summer break(job).
Bluegrass Junction, Sundays 10am-12pm on 90.5 FM WUOG or www.wuog.org.
