It hardly seems fair that all my BHO pals get to see my new banjo before I even get to play it. Ha! Come on--have a look!
I've just uploaded Chuck's photos of my custom Lone Star Deluxe. I am so excited to get this thing... it will arrive on Monday. This was my 40th birthday present to myself. I love the way it looks.
Chuck suggested using mesquite wood for the fingerboard and peghead. He also used mesquite for the tonering. I think it's gorgeous.
Can't wait to hear how it sounds... More later.

You're right! The Mesquite is absolutely beautiful. I have never heard of Mesquite being used as a tone wood, but I'll bet it will be good. I hope you write a review about it.

Beautiful! I've never seen a Chuck Lee in person. I like the pun, too! It's almost worth ordering a Prucha, so I could eventually announce "The Czech is in the mail!" :)

Sorry, I didn't mean to drool all over your homepage!

I've played a "Chuck" at Dusty Strings in Seattle (Clawhammer Weekend 2,3, and 4 May, 2008). I also played a Chuck at The Folk Shop in Tucson, AZ. You will be most happy with your purchase. And, as you can see from my avatar, I also play a "Czech." And, yes, Mainejohn, I was excited when my "Czech was in the mail." I'm sorry, I just couldn't resist the puns. :-)

The Banjo looks awesome! Simple and clean! I agree that the mesquite looks good! Like PruchaLegend, I've played Chuck Lee banjos before as well, they are sooooooooo nice. Look forward to your video!
