New Album Previews

Posted by curtiseller on Thursday, March 6, 2008

My new CD Wirewalkers & Assassins is complete!

The album will be officially available on March 25.  Until then I've posted three tracks as a preview.  You'll find them posted here on the banjo hangout in my "Music" folder.

After The Soil Fails:
This song is about Fidel Castro, Richard Nixon, Jack Ruby and William Tecumseh Sherman...among other things.

John Wilkes Booth (Don't Make Us Beg):
In this season of democratic primaries I thought I'd offer an alternative to the voting "booth".   I hope you like the Sun Records tape delay.

Daisy Josephine:
This is a solo banjo tune written for my daughter Daisy.  Unlike me, Daisy is a native New Yorker.

For the banjo curious...all of the songs on the new album were written and performed on a Bart Reiter Standard with a rennaissance head.  I hope you like the tunes....I'll be sure to make a big noise when the new CD is available!
Most Sincerely,
Mr. Eller

Thanks for the previews Curtis! Really looking forward to the new album. Daisy Josephine...a beautiful song for a beautiful girl.   Was sorry not to have been able to make it to Banjo Jim's last Friday, I was sick with flu.  Next time for sure!     -Lisa
