Well it finally got here, my Whyte Ladyie. It was a long time in coming......My friend Clay started work on it in December, but Elderly didn't ship the rosewood for the fingerboard till february. This is his 105th banjo and he claims he didn't build it for me, even though the neck is to my exact specs and he designed the scoop with reference to the way I use my thumb.

This is my first custom built instrument and it is a thing of beauty. The Tone ring assembly is Stew Mac, and it sounds beautiful, bright, sweet and full. My wife hopes it cures my instrument acquisition syndrome but it probably won't.
