I'm nearing completion, if there is such a thing, after breaking one of my abalone stars I ordered a replacement, I figured while I was at it I may as well order a bone nut, and a bone fifth string nut. I managed to gouge up the fretboard and the headstock while routing the holes for the stars, but I'm hoping I can fill the gaps without to much problem. I suppose practice makes perfect and my next inlay will be on a 2x4. It will be a few days before I get my goodys, but I have a mandolin kit needing attention, and the Gold Tone kit that has been calling my name, is now calling my name from within the same room.
