Banjo Poem

Posted by Mountain Banjer Girl on Saturday, February 23, 2008

I love to play the banjo

in a fine, and old-time way.

In hot weahter, cold weather, even in the snow,

I love to play the 5-string wherever it is I go!

I love to play the banjo late into the night

sometimes all the way  until..............daylight!

I love to play at the fiddlers' convention

and at the square dances, too,

playing the banjo is enjoyment, simple, plain and true.

Clawhammer's my style

I keep WPAQ, 740 AM, on my radio dial.

Emily, Enoch, Harold B. and Larry P

have all been great banjo pals to me.

So, wherever I go, whatever I do

I take my banjo with me, and I hope you all do, too.
