Well the time is nearly here.
Sunday, the
Moriah Go-Getters, will take the stage in the 2008 Battle of The Jugbands. We will hit the ground running with a line-up that consists of guitar, banjo, dobro, mandolin, fiddle, harmonica, washboard, electric shovel (I kid you not!), kazoos, train whistles and maybe even a jug!
The song line-up will be interesting, too, with everything from classic old-time country (All the Pretty Girls, Wreck on the Highway, Wabash Cannonball) to classic rock 'n' Roll (Honkytonk Women).
We've done the minimal rehearsing required (it's the minimal rehearsing that's required, heh, emphasis on
minimal) and gosh all if we don't sound like we might kinda even know the songs we're playing.
If you are interested here's the info:

Aw, that sounds like fun.
Back when I was in college (in Duluth, 1974-78) I would drive down south on weekends to hear music on Cedar Avenue.
