"Tim Carter's music reminds me of the things I love most about playing bluegrass. There's a real joy in his playing and singing and a great love for the music, both its tradition and the fellowship that playing with others creates."
Alison Brown - Grammy winning banjo player
"Tim Carter sings, picks, and composes soulfully, wonderfully and surrounds himself with the creme de la creme of musical cohorts. His playing is alternately sweet and driving, as the setting requires. His compositions add valuable new repertoire to the bluegrass and progressive cannon. His banjoic ideas are sublimely crafted and, by the way, this music will stand the test of time".
Tony Trischka - Banjo Master
"With 'Bang Bang', Tim further entrenches himself as one of the genre's premier singer/songwriters and multi-instrumentalists"
Dave Higgs- National Syndicated Show 'Bluegrass Breakdown'
"It's worth to note that Carter lives up to the standards set by his musical colleagues, as well, evidenced by a thoroughly rich collection of banjo based music."
Bluegrass Unlimited Magazine
"Tim Carter's self-produced project Bang Bang presents the listener with some of the best American music to come along in quite a while. He provides a masterfully created blend of music from Irish to Blues. The music will capture your heart and soul as you read the liner notes providing insight to the origins of the songs... This is Tim's first solo project and I hope it won't be his last!"
Bluegrass Music Profiles
"Tim Carter qualifies as one of those musicians who is difficult to pigeonhole into one particular genre of music. He's accomplished in so many styles that he defies simple categorization. Perhaps it would be best to just call Bang Bang a collection of good music that you should definitely hear".

Wow! You got some mighty fine folks endorsing you, Tim. I'm sorry to say I haven't listened to your music... not yet, anyway. But I see you've got some MP3s on your Music page.
Gonna go fix that right now!
Thanks for the posts!
Craig

I first heard the Carter Brothers playing at Conwy Bluegrass Festival in Wales U.K. this year (2009) and now really love their music. My favorite piece of music is Chronical which is on Tim's album "Bang Bang". Tim played it live on stage at Conwy, and I thought it was even better than on the C.D. I would love to get hold of the tablature for this.
You are a great musician Tim,
Thank you,
Barrie
