I'm rustling around downcellar looking for a good box to ship out a banjo I sold and lo and behold..I found "The Box".
Nearly falling apart now - held together mostly with shipping labels - this banjo shipping box has a story behind it.
-The first shipping label on the box shows that Mike Ramsey used it to send a banjo to Zepp Music.
-From there I surmise Zepp used it to send a banjo to BHO member Joe Garinger.
-Joe used it to send a banjo to BHO member Spherely..I think it was an Ome Jubilee 12" rim.
-Spherely (Jim Heiman) used it sometime later to send a banjo to me - but I don't recall which banjo it was.
-I then used it sometime later to send my old Wildwood Troubadour back to Jim.
-and Jim subsequently used it sometime after that to send me the Ome Jubilee that Joe Garinger sold him.
I came this close to using this box to send a banjo to someone else..but I think I'll hold onto it in case I have to ship a banjo to either Mike Ramsey, Donald Zepp, Joe Garinger or Jim Heiman. Kind of keep it in the family you know?

You could use it to send a banjo to me. Any old banjo would do, but something nice without frets would be good. I promise to keep the box until banjo sending is needed again.

Sounds like a good outline for a short story or screenplay; "Travels of an Old Box"

I think I'd dip it in Varathane and make a case out of it, but that's just me!

The first banjo I sent you in "the Box" was a Reiter Professional. I tink that box could make it back and for between our two houses on it's own. Think of the shipping charges we could save.

I need to go "for" and get some sleep. I'm not "tinking" very well.

Wow Jim! That's cool! The banjo I was going to ship in it was the very Reiter Professional you sold me. LIke I say though - I'll hold out. There may yet be a banjo of mine you'll want.
