Christmas has come and gone. It was great ! Visits with kids and grandkids, celebrating the most important day in history.
Hope to have a bit of time in the shop between now and the New Year. My other hobby is building wooden rowing and sailing boats. I've a 14 footer in the shop right now, partially finished.

Hello Darryl: A natural hobby for a banjo lover! My son and I attended a class at the Wooden Boat School in Brooklin, Maine about 6 years ago. I own a wood and canvas 15' canoe made by Rollin Thurlow here in Maine. I've never made a boat, but I love the wood and the grace that wooden boats possess.

Hi Darryl, I first caught the banjo bug while I was doing research on boat building and accidentally found info on banjo building. I haven't built either yet. My cousin gave me his canoe and I bought a banjo. Your boat is awesome.

Hi Darryl - nice boat! I've been hoping to build a clinker ply sailing canoe for a couple of years - the nearest I get is playing music at the tasmanian Wooden Boat Festival.
