Well it finally arrived after about 2 weeks in the mail, a 1975 or 76 Gibson RB100. Well, the first thing it needed was a cleaning and a new head so off to see my good buddy Bart Veerman who happened to have a spare used clear head when there were none to be found at the only two music stores open today. Wow, it cleaned up real nice and sounds grrrrrrrrrreat (thanks Bart)! The mailman had left a notice in my mailbox today that I had a parcel and could pick it up at the post office (I new it had to be the banjo)...so my wife Janice and I went only to find the post office was closed...so I come back to the car thinking I will have to wait another day and what do i see but the mail truck going up the road...so of course I followed him to his next stop and after knocking on his door he saw that I wasn't trying to rob him so he opened up the door and I asked him if he had been to my place earlier today and he said yep...so I produced the tag he left in the mailbox and asked him if I could get the parcel from him...he said sure if you have any money to pay the taxes as it came from the US. I didn't have a dime on me and I asked him to let me know where his next stop was and I could get to a cash machine and meet up with him there and he said I do take a credit card. I didn't have one but my Janice did so I ran back to the car and asked her for the card and she hauled it out of her purse with a big smile because of how this whole thing was just unfolding like magic. So we used the card and the mailman said that they were working Sunday because they didn't want people lookin at them after Christmas wondering why the heck they couldn't get the presents to them before Christmas. So I thanked him and Wished him a Merry Christmas. And now it is Banjo time! Merry Christmas Everyone!
