Well as you all know the holidays are upon us. Since this is the case I just have not been able to get to any lessons due to time constraints. I have uped my pratice time to about 3 hours a day trying not to slip behind. I have been playing on the BHO chat room to get opinions from all the guys and gals. I also just ordered the Scruggs collection from Hatfield Music at www.hatfieldmusic.com . I am gonna start learning those songs as soon as I get them. I have worked all the way thru the Scruggs book up to the up the neck playing. I am having difficulty with any up the neck work. I just cant push past it for some reason. Any pointers would be appreciated. Hope all you guys and gals have a great holiday season. More to follow.

I am in the same boat with my lesson schedule. Haven't had a lesson in about three weeks, and it doesn't look like I am getting one in anytime soon.

Hang in there, Chris, you'll get there. I've been playing for nearly a year. It was rough in the beginning, but as time past, I startedto see signs of improvement. Keep that positive attitude and determination in the forefront of your playing. You already have the passion and time commitment. In time, you will conquer the infamous pinkie-on-the 11th fret "stumbling" block. Believe me, I've been where you are, but you have yet to be where I am (now). However, you will be. Hang tough, learn well, enjoy the experience. Ted
