I went to our bluegrass monthly bluegrass jam last night and was almost alone. That isn't an ideal situation for a banjo picker. Two others showed up, a mandolin player and a bass. We ended up visiting mostly and making plans to form a group in the coming year. It would appear that Xmas time is suited more for shopping than picking. I will look forward to the coming year and perhaps a new group with a different direction in bluegrass music. My thoughts are geared towards traditional sound & maybe some contemporary stuff. It would seem that the biggest problem in my area is finding a decent rythum guitar/lead singer.
