It has been about a month now, and I love it more every day. I have learned how to play Cripple Creek and Buffalo Gals. I started with really basic versions but now I am throwing in hammer ons, pull offs, drop thumbs, and slides all over the place... or at least trying to. My husband is just about fed up of both of those songs, but he has yet to complain. Maybe I will post some mp3s soon.

That's funny, those are two that I started with. I've been at it for 19 months now and I still love it. Enjoy!!

Those were two of the first I learned, too, but it was a little longer ago than a month! Congrats on your progress, and always have fun as you learn.

Keep up the good work, Erin. And, let me thank your husband for allowing a fledgling banjo player to spread her wings.

Erin, in reply to your WoW comment on my blog--I was in the WoW alpha and beta before it released, and never played after it went gold. WoW felt like "EQ Lite" to me, and I really didn't want to leave EQ to commit to a new MMORPG. But the graphics were great and much of the gameplay was fun. Whack a few monsters for me!
