Just got my Murphy Henry Beginners dvd yesterday and can hardly wait to get started...my Lotus banjo that i bought off ebay still has not arrived and it has been a week so far since it was shipped from North Carolina. Well it appears that patience is my first banjo lesson.

I will play it hard Aikipappy but i won't put it away wet (it has to last a long time)...and yes UK Sandra it is Banjo in the hollow time...I just heard it for the first time and it truly is a nice melodic little song! Oooeee there goes that banjo bug biting hard ...better get out Earl's album again!

Hi Randy! Good luck Randy, and i hope the Lotus has arrived by now! You have definately found the right place! I came to the Hangout with a Lotus and a million questions a couple years ago. The banjo served me very well, and is still going strong with another hangout member!

Thanks for the good luck wishes Dean, the Lotus has still yet to arrive...glad to hear that yours is still going strong...Yesterday I discovered the jukebox on this site and it has been banjo heaven here for quite a while now. Maybe I will hear your band on there in the future? What a great Hangout this is!
