Should I sell my 1983 RB-250??

Posted by vampinthemiddle on Monday, October 29, 2007

As I finish my second tour in this wonderful dump I am delighted to know that I have a newly purchased RB-4 waiting on me.  I have a 1983 RB-250 with a ten 20 tone ring in it.  It was set up by Larry Perkins.  I am at the point I feel I have too many banjos.  Should I sell it?

Unless you need the $$$,  I'd say hang on to it. I've sold a few instruments over the years that I wish I had back.

I think I'll maybe hang on to it.  I just feel as if I'm being greedy or something.  I know there is probably an up and coming picker that would enjoy having that banjo.  Money isn't every thing and the Lord has blessed me with some other great instruments.  I guess this is more of a good deed than anything.  Thanks for the advice though.

hi Josh, I know how you feel. I don't have an RB-250, but have 4 banjos, no actually 5, and I don't need that many. But when I think about selling one or two of them, I feel like I'm kicking a friend out of the house. Sometimes a fella just gets too attached to an instrument :-) Good luck with your new RB-4!
