Virginia/Maryland November Workshop & Concert Tour

Hi folks,

I'm excited to be coming back to my home state of Virginia for a series of "Banjo in America" concerts and four bluegrass banjo backup workshops. It's been several years since I've toured through the area and I'm looking forward to seeing many old friends and make some new ones. Here are the tour details (for more info, visit the "Schedule" link at www.nativeandfine.com):

November 9: Towson, MD: Bill Evans presents The Banjo In America, a house concert at the home of Betsy Voss. $20 admission, 8 p.m. showtime. Seating is limited to 20 participants! Phone 410-296-6757 or email to betsyvoss@comcast.net to reserve a seat. Directions will be emailed after reserving your seat.

November 10: Charlottesville, VA: The Secrets of Great Bluegrass Banjo Back-up Workshop, 214 Community Arts Center, 214 Rugby Road, 22903. Workshop is 1 to 4 p.m., $50. All levels welcome but workshop is designed for those with one or more years of playing experience. Learn great vamping, down and up the neck back-up, playing in different keys, fiddle tune & slow song backup and much, much more! For registration email 214arts@gmail.com or phone 434-409-9631. November 11: Falls Church, VA: Bill teaches The Secrets of Great Bluegrass Banjo Back-up Workshop, 1 to 4 p.m., $50. All levels welcome but workshop is designed for those with one or more years of playing experience. Learning great vamping, down and up the neck back-up, playing in different keys, fiddle tune & slow song backup and much, much more! Workshop will be held in a private home in the Lake Barcroft area. November 13: Roanoke, VA: Bill Evans presents The Banjo in America, O. Winston Link Museum, 101 Shenandoah Avenue. For more info, phone 540-982-5465.

November 14: Roanoke, VA: The Secrets of Great Bluegrass Banjo Back-up Workshop, Fret Mill Music Company, 7 to 10 p.m., 21 Salem Avenue, 24011, on Roanoke's Historic City Market. November 15: Charlottesville, VA : Bill Evans presents The Banjo in America on a double bill with Tony Furtado, The Gravity Lounge, 103 South First Street. Admission $15, additional info at 434-977-5590.
