Just had my Second lesson from John Coleman ( mainejohn). Things are going very well and John is a Great Instructor. Very patient and understanding, and he explains things so even a chowdermaker can understand them. It won't be long before I have my first recording on the 'music" section of my Hangout page. Wish I had started out with John learning clawhammer instead of wasting the last few months with 3 finger style. I feel much more comfortable with his style. Partly maybe because of the two months of lessons previous, but any rate, I am very excited and motivated!!!!
Keep you all posted!!!

I doubt that you wasted your time. You probably got a headstart on left hand techniques, improved your ear sesitivity and learnd some chords in the proces. Something to build on. Good Luck and good hammering Hopalong Peter
