Almost 8 years ago, there was a thread on Banjo Hanout seeking the source of this tune. It mentions my friend, Al Lubanes, who does play it. Yesterday, Al talked about learning the tune after we played it. I have just Emailed another friend who taught it to Al. If she has more information on the source of the tune, I'll post it here.

OK, She learned it from a guy named Jim Morrison, who moved from California to Virginia. Another friend of mine chased him down and Jim told her that he did not remember who he learned the tune from.
