My "final settings" for the Tennessee 20 tone ring on a thick, 3-ply maple rim cut for a two-piece (tube & plate) flange are 89.5-90 using a DrumDial, or a G# (as nearly as I can tell) if tap-tuning the head. This gives a solid, "punchy" sound with great audio range. The mahogany neck gives solid response along the entire fingerboard without "fading out" in the upper register.
I'm probably going to tinker with the resonator spacing "just to see" if I can hear any difference(s), but it's more from curiosity than necessity. At this point the most important thing is PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE to continue getting my timing and control back.
Might create an audio track or two one of these days, maybe "Sheik of Araby" (original rendition) or "Five Foot Two" (modified "Allen Shelton version").
