I have an old banjo with the engraved name plate "Will Pettitt Special Model". Mr Pettitt was a player and teacher in Bristol around 1895 and taught some up and coming players of the day when banjo was king in the Vaudeville circuit. I need to find out where this banjo was made. I suspect Windsor but I have found no link as yet.

You might want to take pictures of the banjo: front, back, headstock, fretboard, any distinguishing features and then put a thread in the Collector's Forum. Perhaps one of the members who frequent that forum can help you with your question(s)
