Our condo building has a "First Monday Happy Hour" every month and one of the residents plays electronic keyboard and entertains. He lives right next door, and a lot of the songs he plays are old standards like "Five Foot Two", "Bill Bailey", "Sweet Georgia Brown", etc., etc., all of which I can play (more or less) since I've often worked up those kinds of songs that Allen Shelton, Don Reno, Johnnie Whisnant, etc., recorded on the 5-string. So, commencing this weekend my neighbor and I are going to have a "keyboard/banjo" jam just to see what's possible.
My good friend, guitarist Jerry Moury in Haymarket, VA, wants to do a music project this Fall of old, laid-back country & Bluegrass and has asked me to consider being a part of it, so that means much more practice - which is a good thing, for sure!
I switched back to a Scorpion bridge on Snowflake and I think I like it better.....I'll give it a good workout over the next few days.
