I have been kind of quiet on here for awhile. Just really busy. Now I am finished work (school bus) for the summer and I have more time to practice! Yeah! Last week we had the fortune to go and hear Allison Krause in Toronto. She was wonderful. I have never heard an audience so quiet during a performance. No one coughed or talked. They just listened. She is worth the trip to see and she and The Coxes played right through for 90 minutes with several encours.
I am practicing a few songs with the strum machine and am happy that I am getting better at it. I have never played along with anyone so it is kind of like playing with others. I am pleased that I am building up some speed in a few songs and managing to keep with others . It will be 2 years this August that I started playing seriously. I am looking forward to the improvements I will make over the next few years. :)
We are going to the east coast next week for a couple of weeks. I am bringing a banjo and looking for some outdoor practice time :)

What an experience that must have been. Allison has amazing talent and a voice that send shivers down my spine. It's very cool that you got to see her.
Good job on the strum machine practice. That helps a lot. You've come a long way to be able to play with a backing track--that's not exactly easy at first.

Thanks Wayne. It is not easy and has taken me awhile to get the hang of each song but persistence does pay off. :)
