Well I changed the strings and bought another set for the other banjo. This time I got medium, the ones I put on were light. Will see how they are . Not to much problem but I think I should have put the band aids on before I started! Those ends are sharp. Banjo plays well and the buzzing is gone. :)

Well done. Now the mystery is gone and you've seen it's pretty straight forward you can do it again and again as need be.
If you play up the neck it might now be worth re checking your intonation(bridge position) in case you moved the bridge. Good practice for you even if you didn't.
