It isn't even the weather that makes winter seem twice as long as the other seasons. Its the time lapse between festivals. Picking friends who live elsewhere are not seen for months. And as the season seems like it will never end, Wintergrass happens.
Its a great time to see jamming friends, bandmates and fellow banjo geeks. To get into the infinitely lengthy discussions of whether there's a minor sixth (there isn't!) in that tune, the best picks to use. As I have said before, it was Wintergrass that got me back to playing music, and it was Wintergrass that led to my position with Nechville.
I can't wait till its here again.
