This year, like most, has had its highs and lows. On the low side, were friends who passed away unexpectedly. People who were close, dear friends. I miss them and know I am the better for knowing them while they were with us.
On the high side, I had the opportunity to attend many festivals and musical events this past year, either as a vendor for Nechville, as a musician or as a jammer. I got to do a lot of picking with some mighty fine people. And for that I am very thankful. I fought a trigger finger on one of my picking fingers. Happy to say, that condition is now a thing of the past.
I saw my daughter achieve her college degree, her teaching certificate and her first teaching position this year. She worked hard to earn all of them, while working full time and raising two great children. I am both happy for her and proud. Our son has emerged from a tough year personally to be his happy self again. And Donna and I have our health and look forward to another year together.
May 2018 bring you happiness and health. Enough talk-- let's pick.
