Okay I uploaded a couple of tunes to You tube. You sure notice the mistakes and hesitations when you record them but I must say the more I record the more relaxed I get about it. So one is Oid Joe Clark https://youtu.be/UuFa9Qf3NxI. and the other is Clinch Mountain Backstep https://youtu.be/dNLcYaX1-to. I guess I lean to the more melodic side but the stuff I do tends to be slow cause I am slow and it does not sound to me like real banjo music. Both were done with the banjo mute on so they sound quieter. I started playing in August 2016.

Congrats on your first recordings. You give these tunes a nice bluesy feeling. Well done!

Playing 'clean' without mistakes is more important than playing fast with mistakes in my opinion. And those recordings sounded pretty clean to me.
