Hi Folks,
You can now modify how you are notified when someone tags you. Click the little gear next to your name when signed in, then click "Messaging & Notifications".
You have three options:
Eventually we will expand notifications so you'll be alerted when someone likes your post, or even (possibly) for forum subscriptions or saved searches in the classifieds.
But for now, we wanted to get this feature live since some of you have asked to not be emailed automatically when you get tagged. Now if you just set your notification settings to "web only" you will not be emailed when tagged.

Thanks for this improvement! Notification of a new item matching a saved search in the classifieds would be great!!

But this morning my friend feed is gone. It has been in the right column of my page I come to when I come to BHO. Now where my friend feed was there is just has the word Notifications with a blue line under it under my name, gearbox, and an add. If I click on notifications I get a list of where I have been tagged. How do I get my friend feed back there?

FriendFeed is temporarily gone because it was causing site performance issues, From Greylock to Bean Blossom. For now you can see your FriendFeed by going to your homepage and clicking "Friends."

Thanks Eric,
Hope you get friend feed back up soon. IMO friend feed is an important feature as it directs you to most of what you want to follow.
