I ordered a Bell banjo last year and still haven't recieved it, Terry told me he was sending it out the 1st of July, never recieved it. I talked to his son 2 weeks ago and he said he was shipping it out and again never recieved it. I just returned from Clifftop, and niether Terry or his son are answering their email or phone. I fear the money I sent them is gone. I don't understand how someone can run a business like this.

There have been several threads about problems with Terry Bell. You can search the archive to see the range of complaints, many similar to yours. And lately there have been similar complaints about a couple of other small builders. It's unfortunate because the instruments, Terry Bell's included, are generally well built and attractive. I bought one of Terry's banjos form an individual, and it is a very nice fretless minstrel banjo.
Did you buy directly from Terry or through Ebay or similar service? You could place a complaint with Ebay (or whoever). It won't resolve your immediate problem but it may put Ebay (or whoever) on notice that he is performing poorly as a seller. Paying through PayPal may also offer some redress.
Slow delivery and slow responses to inquiries are bad enough, but the false promises really are unexcusable.
