After some thinking, I've decided that I won't be taking anymore custom orders, at least not for some time, until I can get caught up with the ones I currently have to finish. I don't want for anyone to have to wait longer than they expected for me to finish their order, and I don't feel right having to make anyone wait if I can't get to it. Plus I've had a few instruments on the back burner that I've been wanting to make as well. It's not that I don't want to do custom orders anymore (I greatly enjoy being able to work with a customer and creating what they want), I just need to get caught up and not feel overwhelmed.
Being a full-time college student has definitely kept me busy, so the only times I've had to work on orders (when not having anything else going on or having to complete assignments) is on the weekends or some free evenings during the week. Right now, it's my top priority.
For those that have a current order placed, I'm hoping to be able to start on those the second week of May (which is after finals week), if not before. Those that have requested bottle gourds, it may be longer since I haven't began to grow them this year, so I've been getting them on eBay, which takes some time to find one that's suitable.
