Oof -- pretty darn nice looking. How's the sound? I see you're shaving them down a bit below where I'm assuming the bridge'll go.

I like to trim them pretty short. The bridge location is shaved for better contact. These hides are a little thicker than my regular stock. The thickness plus the hair affect tone. In the past, I found these to give a slightly muted volume compared to regular (shaved) thinner hide. The tone is very good and there is reduced need for stuffing.
