Been to the Scottish bluegrass festival at Guildtown. The weather wasn`t too bad. We did have a heavy shower on Saturday that lasted 26 hours and there was a fair bit of mud around but we still managed to have a good time. We got together with people we met last time we were there and sat and played until the dark and the midgies got the better of us. Met some nice new people. Went for a look around Perth and Dundee and spent two nights in the pub, just listening on Saturday night but joining in on Sunday night. Had a great time.

Hiya, sounds good. I'll have to make the boat journey for the next one. The best cure I know for midgies, is Avon "Skin So Soft" moisturiser. The midgies hate it. Forestry workers use it I think, Cheers, JJ

JJ, its well worth the boat journey. I`ll look forward to seeing you.
Jody, Hows your new banjo doing?. Does it sound as good as it looks?. I was told that next years Scottish Bluegrass Festival is on in July instead of August. Somebody mentioned 18th. I don`t know if its true or not.

I'm glad the event was a success despite the rain, I only recently found out about Guildtown a few weeks ago so I was too late to get the time off work!
Going next year for sure, hopefully I will be able to play a tune or two by then!
Kev.

Hey, Sandra - Deering banjos rock! I love my new banjo! It sounds fantastic.
I'll keep that in mind about the date for the Scottish festival.
Hey, you'll need to change your profile... I just noticed you still have on there you are a 'novice'. No way, girl! You're 'Purty Good' in my opinion! You can't be a 'novice' for 6 years.... LOL
