Hi Folks,
I just want to share this information with you because it's been 4 years now I'm playing banjo and never really found a satisfying way to amplify my banjo without feed back and without loosing the natural sound of my banjo.
This weekend I've tried to use my Kavanjo pickup AND my Gold Tone ABS-C Condenser Mic at the same time. They were both plugged into a 8 entry soundcraft console to give 48V phantom power to the mic and after to a Boss tuner pedal and a boost pedal. (I put a noise reducer foam, or whatever it's called, on the condenser mic)
The sound was amazing! Everybody told me that they heard the banjo very well. We were a band of 8 musicians with a drum, electric guitar, B3 Organ and fiddle...
This setup in not cheap I know but it worth it.
Thanks for reading,
Jeremy.
