Thinking of a New Name

Posted by snowbirdbanjo on Thursday, October 1, 2015

I've moved to Alaska and while right now, I am couped up in a little one bedroom apartment trying to figure out how to make my next escape, I am trying to figure out what to call my new banjo company. Since I called it Ozark Songbird Banjo Co, I made the mistake of picking a regional name that is not transferable. As a result I've attempted to think of a good name. I liked Songbird Banjo Co...but its already taken.

So, if I have any friends on here that see this post, please shoot out any idea that pops in your head, because, I sure dont have any.

Myers Banjo Company sounds just fine to me. Good Luck!

Thanks gospelman for your input...but i've thought of this also and found this when I did a google search:

I'm not sure who this is but it seems the name has already been taken.
On my facebook page, I have a few Alaskan friends saying that I should keep the name. I am still undecided.

"Chickadee Banjo Co."? Everyone likes them, they are found in Alaska and throughout the forests of the US.

Change a couple of letters and make it Snowbird. People won't know if you're geographically in Alaska or Florida, or one of those that seasonally go from north to south.

Thanks everyone for the input. I am ecstatic about how this has played out. Rudy, you were genius! Thank you...its perfect. I've got a lot accomplished since last comment. I purchased the domain and migrated my Songbird wordpress site over to it. I've re done the graphics with the new name. I've also made a logo that I am very happy with. Check it out!
