Hey folks, now semi-retired and living in Banos, Ecuador. Loving it. Finally got my banjo down here in April and have started the learning process again and getting the fingers back in shape. Big problem, the tuning peg on my old Ruby for the high G string came loose and worked itself out of the neck. So, I'll be looking to find a fix on here if anybody knows anything about banjo repairs.

Just put it back in the opening for it. That sometimes happens. If it continues to work loose, put a toothpick in with it and see if that doesn't tighten it up. If it's really wallowed out, then you probably do need a repair person.
You might want to ask in the building and repair forum -- it gets more reads than the blogs and there might be someone there who could help you .
