It is with great sadness that I must post this. My Friend and banjo Maker extra-ordinaire, Will Fielding passed away this past Tuesday, October 21, at home after suffering from an illness. I'm sure many of you long time banjo campers got to know Will and play his wonderful banjos. He will be dearly missed. Glenn

Glenn, thank you for sharing. As a fellow banjoist and a UU, I have been following Will and his work for many years. It is a sadness that will only be eased by the lives that he has touched. My personal condolences to his family and friends, and to all those lucky enough to have one of his unique instruments.

I had no idea he was sick. I never met Will, but exchanged emails with him as we were "neighbors" and how I admired his craftsmanship.

I was a huge fan of Will, and his banjos. This is sad news indeed.
He's left behind a beautiful legacy in his craftsmanship and I hope people make music with his banjos for countless years to come.
