I think this may be the BEST sounding Reiter 11" Grand Concert I have played. The banjo made its way back to me tonight ... ten years after I first owned it.

Is this the A scale banjo ?

No. This is a 1988 full-scale Grand Concert that showed up on my doorstep last night looking for a home.
I briefly owned it ten years ago. Back then , I traded it to Elizabeth (ex-wife of Jack Pearson), in payment for her playing bass and banjo on my ~HOT~ Biscuit Jam cd.
Now it has come back to me. And I'm very pleased...both because it is a truly great instrument - and it especially that it belonged to my friend Liz.
This really may be the best sounding 11" Reiter G.C. I've ever heard. It has a big, wide sound that rivals my 12" I.R. banjos. You really hear the Bacon tone ring working inside the rim chamber. And it actually "resonates." This is exactly the way a great Internal Resonator banjo should sound. It really fills the room - without being in your face.

What a story, John. Maybe your good karma from all of the helpful things you do for others played a role. Enjoy the reunion.

I'll photograph it soon and post some better images. I snapped that shot of the peg head last night in poor lighting. It was too dark to get good shots if the whole banjo.
