I've got the instrument strung with wound nylons like a cello banjo. It sounds and plays very well at low A/D making it a perfect range for playing fiddle tunes.
Having been afflicted by the low tones of the cello banjo I'm hopelessly lost in the low tones of the sea. Standard range, for me, is a thing of the past. I've head for the hills and am hiding in the Low Tones of the Woods...
