I went to a jam yesterday armed with my Open Back Banjo, and a set of harmonicas. You never know what is coming, like "can you play in the key of B"
Jams can be the best place to hone your skills and chart new territory.

I play in B by capoing up to 4 and capoing the 5th string up 4 and then play like I was playing in G. Works for me. If you don't have a capo for B, then just stay off the 5th string and it'll work just fine.
