Just popped my Schaller d tuners back on the flinthill out of boredom and plus Ive been watching a lot of Charlie Cushman vids. I had a problem with the g string goin loose and took them off in a near rage....it was my first time jamming with new friends and the g string tuner picked that night to screw up...lol....thought about throwing them away even. I'm going to give em another try I guess.

Marvin, in a pinch, just lock them out until you can fix the problem. They don't call them "de" tuners for nothing. LOL

Well the Rk 76 that i paid 899.00 for is now officially set up and playing good. It took tearing it down twice, changing the head and fixing some co rod issues to get it there...but I did the work myself so it feels good.
I have a bad spot in the finish now where I confirmed that the wood itself wasnt cracked....but im going to mix up a little nitro finish using acetone and ping pong balls, fill it in and hand buff the heck out of it
.Honestly, I still think I like my deering Sierra better for tone so far....maybe there needs to be some more adjustments....time will tell. Also, this head is brand new....so I think it may break in after a while and sound more mellow like the deering. It may also be that Im not yet used to the different position of the bridge due to the longer scale.
Overall I got a great deal on it. Its not perfect with its misprinted logo (not gonna touch it) but neither am I.
