I gave my 7 yr old grandson,Caleb,a banjo last month. It was a two piece flange banjo, and I removed the resonator and flange since Caleb is a small kid. He was thrilled. He's home schooled, and thought he could manage to get his school work done in 2 hrs and pick the banjo the rest of the day.
His dad remarked recently that he didn't think Caleb looked much like a banjo picker, but two weeks ago he changed his mind about that. Calebs two front teeth fell out.

Great, home made finger picks, and ivory ones at that!
