So there I was. Hanging out at the Fond du Lac airport after work yesterday. I was standing pretty near the runway at the end of the parked aircraft on the ramp. It was almost cloudless yesterday and the visibility was unlimited. I could see the Goodyear blimp hovering west of the field at Oshkosh, and I could also see smoke trails in the shape of loops being formed as the Aeroshell T-6's performed their routine in Oshkosh. (yes, I do know it is somewhat of a sickness of mine, but no more that the hours of banjo playing.)
A couple of guys came running up, one with a television camera and began taking shots of me watching, with landing and departing aircraft as a backround. Wanting to start a conversation with him, I joked, "you know, your gonna break your camera taking pictures of me." But he didn't understand English very well and I think he thought I was threatening to break his camera, because he quickly said in his French accent, "no..no..French television!!", then kept on taking shots for a minute or so.
So, now I have gone international!! I figure it's only a matter of time before all that $ and fame comes my way!!
Imagine if I'd have had my banjer there!!

The French don't understand the banjo very much, but they like 'em... Django Rhinehart originally played the tenor. You would have been an even bigger hit!
