i am practicing my banjo right now and have a question for the hangout community of Reno Pickers. in single string does every note have to be played with a different finger, or can you play two notes with the thumb and then two notes with the index finger.

                                                                                                                                              just wondering, Lucas.

Usually it's a different finger each time. As you gain speed, trying to use one finger for two notes will slow you down whereas using the TI TI TI will help you as you get faster.

Using the same finger on two notes can be done when the song is slow enough.
