thursday 15:26 tardate 19 juli...(ghehe ''stardate'' just like in startrek)

today i just smoked my last sigaret (i hope).

i'm 18 jears old... and i smoked as long as i can remember.

the reason i want to quit is just plane greed for money... nd maybe on a unconcious level i care more bout my health than i would ever admit...i dunno.

anyway i'm planning to do it like this... i'm not gonna make any big announcements, to my friends or familly (exept on this here little blog)... cause i think that would make it sound like another burden on my shoulders. I think i'm just gonna pretend the ''stop smoking'' issue ain't even there (now that's where the willpower comes in to play).

and maybe keep myself in isolation from the big bad world, a couple of days... so that i can't victimize any innocents with my cracky/irritated/frustrated moods.

it ain't much of a plan... but he. it's somethin right?

...it's all about faith, and MIND OVER MATTER!!!!!!

Good Luck with that!!

I'd drink a lot of fruit juice, cut back on the fatty foods.  Drink tons of water and try to flush your system.  Nicotine hangs in your tissues for a while - especially fat cells.   Anything you can do to flush it will help some.  Nothing does it like water, though.

Also, tell everybody.  Making a public committment makes it harder to "cheat" or to give it up altogether.  This would be a great time to practice on the banjo too.  I'll add you to my prayers.  You'll need it.

18 and you've smoked as long as you can remember?? either you've smoked a long time or you have a mighty short memory ;o)

Good luck quitting - 18 is a good age to quit. Like a fool, I waited until I was 32 before I quit what is - after all - a shockingly stupid habit.

Good for you.  I started when I was 18, quit when I was 30 - one of the smartest things I ever did.  There is no redeeming quality to smoking AT ALL - none, nada.
