You say wont you follow me through the gates of Hell
That’s no place I want to be, but I say I might as well
You take the risk and push beyond my comfort zone you see
I always seem to find myself, swinging in a tree
Out here on the skinny branches, Swinging in the wind
Never thought I’d take the chance, Kind of mood I’m in
It’s always just me and danger, Seems to follow you
Out here on the skinny branches, wondering what to do
Maybe you could just stand still, if you would be so kind
I could finally take a breath, and catch up from behind
Find a place to settle down for more than just a day
Watch the evening sun come round instead of run away
One thing that I know is true, you surely love the game
And even though you know I don’t, there’s nothing I can blame
Sometimes it seems you purposely are looking for a thrill
Out there on those skinny branches, I’m following you still
